Question Ok, I am currently on "bc" and have been for about 3 years. I forget here and there all the time, but this time I'm nervous. I forgot to take the last 4 pills before the "blank" ones start. Me & my husband had sex that sunday, and my period came the very next day (monday). My period usually would have come that Wednesday, so I'm concerned. My cycle lasted 5 days, like normal. Then a day later, I found a drop of blood in my underwear. What are the chances that I'm pregnant? Since I've been taking the pill for so long, am I safe even though I missed 4 days?
Answer If a woman does not follow exactly the instructions for taking the pill the chances of pregnancy always increase. It says this in the package insert that comes with the pill. It doesn't matter how many months or years you have taken the pill.
The fact that you got your period usually means that you are not pregnant. It probably came early because you didn't take the pills as directed.
