About Dianna
Expertise
I can answer questions related to the proper use of condoms, the Depo-Provera shot, the pill, the patch, and IUDs. Please see my FAQ page before submitting a question. No question is too "personal" - that`s what I`m here for!

Experience
I have personally used the Depo shot, Ortho-Tricyclen, the Ortho Evra patch, and I currently have an Mirena IUD.

Birth Control - Ortho-Tricyclin

Expert: Dianna - 11/23/2003

Question
I have been on Ortho-tricylcin for two almost two months now, and I started having sex on the second pack of pills because I thought that way it was more effective, I take my pills habbitually....I mean I take them EVERY day at 11 p.m. no matter where I am. I just want to know what my chances are of getting pregnat are. Me and my "to be" husband use condoms and spermicide too. I am worried that I will have a child and not finish my college schooling. Please let me know what you think my chances are of getting pregnant and if what I am doing sounds right.

Answer
You are doing a GREAT job! Keep doing what you are doing - you have NOTHING to worry about. Think about looking into getting an IUD - I have one and love it. It's inserted into your uterus and protects you for 5 years, no pills to take. :-) Keep up the great work!
