Experience I have personally used the Depo shot, Ortho-Tricyclen, the Ortho Evra patch, and I currently have an Mirena IUD.
Question I have been using the pill for approx. 6 months and have had no problems with my period. I was married three weeks ago and decided that I'd like to skip my next period so that I could enjoy my honey moon. So, immediately after taking the last horomone pill in my 28-day pack I started taking the "white" pill in the new pack, but instead of stopping my period, I have been bleeding lightly/consistently for about a week. I am still taking the pill every night but I am continuing to bleed. Do you have any suggestions/answers as to why my system would be acting this way?

Answer This happens to some people. Some just aren't able to skip their period. I was able to skip it for a month at a time without any breakthrough bleeding, but a friend of mine can't do it at all! You can try again another month, but my guess is that your period is just going to come anyways!
