Question
I started orthro-cyclen birth control about a month ago and since I have felt a pain in my left breast, it like a sharp pain every once in a while. It doesn't happen alot. I was wondering if because this is my first time on birth control, would my breast pain be a symptom? I don't know if hormones would make it hurt I don't know.. Maybe there growing? I can only hope : )  Well Thanks for the time.

Answer
Hi Rockell,

Sounds like your breasts are reacting to the estrogen in your birth control pills, which is normal. You didn't mention how old you are, but generally women under the age of 40 rarely get breast cancer. To be sure your should see your doctor.

Good luck!
