Birth Control/Partial period and the pill

Question
I have always had pretty irregular periods.  I have been on the pill before, but have not been recently.  I recently had a full gynaecological checkup and got a clean bill of health.  However, I decided that this month I would start using the pill again.  My period came yesterday after a long wait for it to begin, but it was rather dark and only a little came.  I took the first pill though, thinking that my period had begun.  However, today my period seems to have dried up.  Should I take the second pill today?  Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Answer
Hi Kim,
Thanks for your question. I hope you got an answer in time since I was delayed on receiving your email. I can't recommend the pill because it is a hormonal method of birth control. I don't believe it to be healthy for a woman' body.
I think that your cycle is changing because of you being on and off and back on the pill again. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com so I can advise you further.
P.s. I only recommend non-hormonal birth control methods, such as Natural Family Planning, condoms and birth control pills
Thanks again.
