Question
Hey,

My name is Courtney, and I'm 16. I am going on the pill soon to help my period; I recieve extreme pain. I heard that you gain weight from going on the pill. Ten pounds, ok... but if your on it for a long time will the weight just add up? Also, is there a chance you can lose weight on the pill? I would really appreciate your reply. I have been searching forever on the net but cannot find anything. Thank you for your time!

Courtney

Answer
Some people do gain weight while on the pill. It really depends on your lifestyle. You could gain 10 pounds, but it will not keep adding up. If you are worried about this, then you need to try to get more exercise than normal. I haven't heard anything about people losing weight while on the pill.
