Question
I having been taking birth control for about a year and this month I missed a couple of my pills and took them either a couple hours later or the next day. I just had unprotected sex and was wondering how effective the Plan B pill is and how long after the unprotected sex I have till the Plan B pill is uneffective?

Answer
Hello Nicole,
I want to thank you for sending in your question. I'm not a medical professional but I have read some articles about Plan B. From what I have read, Plan B is used more widely than necessary or what is healthy for a woman's body. Check out the article on http://www.optionline.org
Oh, it is also called the Morning after pill. You are supposedly only to take within 72 hours. Hope this helps and email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and tell me what you think.
