Question I started to take Alesse-28 a form of birth control and had unprotected sex on the 13th day if my pill, I was a little paranoid so I told the extra step and called the clinic to see if I safe, well they told me I wasn't. They advised me to take the Plan B pill, so I went ahead and did. But now I'm thinking that I made a bad decision because my period is not due for about 2 weeks but I have so many side effects I'm not even sure if there from the plan B. I always feel so tried and I do have mild cramps, dizziness, lots and lots of and upset stomach. Many people have told me that the Plan B pill should only be in effect for 2 days but now it's been 3 and they side effects are worse than ever...am I experiancing side effects jus from the Plan B pill or is my body getting ready to start my menstral cycle? and please let me know how long should the plan B be in effect? should I be feeling this way?
Answer this is how it is: first you are taking hormones with the pill, then you add new hormones with the Plan B (which is an abortion causing combination) and on top of that your own body is making hormones, too.
So, there is no wonder to your situation and the length of time it is taking to resolve. There are a lot of hormones going around and they leave a trail of distress in your body behind them. I'm assuming you are still taking the bc pill. It will take time for everything to resolve if it is going to. It could be that you are just very sensitive to any hormones and even the pill will give you these side effects.
You have a couple of choices: get used to the way you feel or quit taking the pill. Any drug has side effects. I would suggest reading the package insert which describes those that accompany the bc pill. It's quite lengthy and scary.
