Birth Control/Pregnancy after Depo

Question
Is there any kind of hormone therapy or "anything" that can help you become more fertile after being on the Depo shot? I lost my 2 1/2 month old son the day after I got on the shot. I really think another baby will help heal my broken heart but it's been 3 months and I really want another baby. Please if there is anything let me know.

Answer
Unfortunately, it is one of the side effects of the shot that fertility is delayed or damaged.  I'm so very sorry about your son's death.  I know you must be yearning to have your arms filled again!  I hope with time it will happen.  My only suggestion is that you investigate all the nutritional avenues to full health and wellbeing such as good diet (organic food, no junk food, no sugar, etc), exercise, sunlight, omega-3 oils, good vitamins, etc. and you will get yourself in the best place to have another baby.  Pay attention to all those things and in time, your fertility will return, hopefully.  My favorite nutritional educator is Dr. Mercola at mercola.com and you can also look for answers about contraception and return of fertility from www.ccli.org

Expertise

Natural Family Planning is a risk-free, safe, and economical alternative to chemical and barrier contraceptives. NFP is easy to understand, aids in fertility awareness for spacing children as well as increasing communication and assisting couples to concieve. I do not answer questions about other forms of birth control.

Experience

I have personal experience with all birth control methods, I practiced NFP throughout my child-bearing years and I am a paralegal with great research skills. I am totally convinced this is a viable alternative and I can back-up my statements with research.
