Hi!  
My name is Kaytee...I recently switched my brand of birth control about 4 months ago.  Its called Lo Orval or something along that line...I have continuously taken it so I did not have a period for 3 months.  My gynecologist said that was fine.  2 weeks ago I had my period and it lasted about 5 days.  I started taking my birth contol and my period stopped...but I recently had sex and it started again.
I know this sounds weird...but I have no idea if this is normal or not.
I am still taking the pill at the same time every night, but I am still on my period.
I didnt know if you had any information about this or not...

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so just wanted you to know that. Why did you switch brands? I'm not sure if that is a healthy thing to not have a period for 3 months. It doesn't sound right to me also for you to have your period even when you're taking the pill correctly. I don't recommend the pill personally. I think the side effects and risks are unhealthy. I only recommend condoms, abstinence and Natural Family Planning. Please email me at DCHERYL@yahoo.com so we can talk more.
