Birth Control/Re-Starting The Pill

Question
Within the last month or two, I stopped using the pill because I was on it as medication for my acne. However, I recently decided to begin using it again for reasons of birth control. Since I quit the pill, though, I haven t had my period again, and began the pill not knowing where I was in my cycle. If I take the pill as I am supposed to, every day, when will I for sure be able to use the pill as a birth control method? Is one month enough

Answer
Hi Sarah,

The pill should jump start your period. So you should have one during the sugar pills in this pack. If you do, you can rely on it as a birth control method during the next pack. If it doesn't do it this pack, it should on the next one. So your best bet is to wait until you have your first menstraul cycle. After that, it wil be reliable.

Good Luck and Thanks,
