Question Hi! I have a little predicament. I was going on vacation on May 21 and I didn't want to get my period. So I skipped my "reminder pills" and started a new pack. My period was delayed for 2 days. However, I got it on the 25th of May and today is already the 6th of June and I still have it. At first it was normal then I kept spotting brownish stuff. Then on the 3rd of June I stopped drinking them (the pills) at all and yesterday (the 5Th) it started being heavy again as if it had just started. When will it stop? and when should i start my next pack? I hope I didnt confuse you and thanks!
Answer The pill is like any other medicine, it must be taken according to directions, and then it works pretty well. What you describe is confusing and, I think, your body is also confused. The pill supplements and replaces the body's normal hormone cycle and you sort of threw it off schedule. I think you should call your provider and ask them what to do. They might suggest no pills until the bleeding completely stops. Use a backup method in the meantime. And then begin a new pack and always use the pill according to the directions.
