Birth Control/Starting a New Pack Early

Question
I have been taking birth control for a few years and I am on LevLite 28. My active pills ended sunday and I got my period today (Wednesday). I usually start a new pack on Sunday, but for several reasons I would rather not continue having my period until this Sunday. Thus, I was wondering if I could start a new pack tomorrow and if I did this, would my birth control still be effective and would my period end before Sunday? Thanks for your help!

Answer
Hi Jay,

Starting them early will increase your pregnancy risk, and it will not stop your period early. Once started, your period will just have to run it's course, the pills wont stop it. Wish I could offer you some help, but there isn't much you can do.

Thanks,
