Birth Control/Stolen puse with birth control

Question
My purse was recently stolen from my car, and had my birth control in it. I was in week 3. I refilled my prescription immediately (I didn't miss any pills), and started in week 3 (same day of original pack) of that prescription. My plan is to continue that prescription, and once I'm finished with week 4, start at week one with the same pack (and finish through where I started). Then, I'll just start refilling my prescription during the third week from now on. Is that ok to do?

Answer
Hi Ali,
Thanks for your question. I am sorry that you had this happen to you. I am not a medical doctor so I would suggest that you ask your physician. This method does sound ok to me but I would recommend just checking to make sure.
Have you had any side effects from the pill? I was just wondering because there are definitely risks involved when you put these hormones into your body. If you are interested in knowing more about this subject, please ask a follow-up question or just email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
I will try to help and inform you as much as I can.
