Question
I recently just got on orth tri Lo. However,  i think I misunderstood my doctor. I started the first pill on Sunday (this will be my second week, I am on the light blue pills) but I didtn start the sunday after my period. I just got my period 3-4 days ago.  Its heavier than usual and im getting more cramps.  I was wondering what you would recommend me to do? Should I start over? or should I continue with my pack?
Thank you so much

Answer
Hi Jessica,

You have two options. You can start a brand new pack today, that would keep you on schedule for starting the pills, since it is the first Sunday following you period, and you should use a back up method for the entire pack. Your period should regulate and you should be protected after that pack.

Or, you can stop the pills, wait for your NEXT period, and start them the Sunday following that one, use a back up method that month, your period should regulate and you would be protected after that.

Its up to you. The second option will add about a month to your time, thats the only diffrence. So make the desicion that best fits what you want to do.

Good Luck and Thanks,

Drea Jean.
