I started taking YAZ two months ago. I'm on my second pack of pills and about to get my period. I have had some severe side affects am wondering if they will go away or if I should change birth controls. I have extremely sore breast, to the point of tears and its really hard to sleep due to the pain. I'm 26 years old and I feel like I'm back in puberty! Also I have my period from Saturday to Tuesday of the next pack. I also have severe headaches and have been very gassy, I didn't think this was related but now look at other peoples experiences this could be related. Please let me know if this is just normal and to wait it out, or if I'm going to have these forever and should change pills. Thanks!

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical professional so I always advise to get a doctor's opinion. Did you ever have your period? Did you take another brand of birth control pills before the Yaz? There could be side effects from any kind of hormonal birth control. I would advise you to check with your doctor if it is feasible for you to go off the pills as soon as possible.
