Question
Hello.  I have been taking birth contol off and on for about 7 years now.  Last month I was probably around 5 days behind on my pills and so I started my period almost a week early and it ended about 4 days before I started my next pack.  My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex plently of times in those 4 days and even before those 4 days.  I have been back on my pills for almost a week now.  I have also be really nauseas for the past week but have only thrown up once. I know that it would be kind of early for my symptoms to be starting if I was pregnant and my bith control pills have not made me feel sick since I switched brands 3 years ago, but I seem to feel worse after I take them.  Can feeling sick after taking my pill be a sign that I am pregnant?  Thanks for your help!

Answer
Hi Kris,
Thanks for your question and I hope I can help even though I'm not a medical doctor. Please check with your physician if you feel sick as maybe it is a flu or virus or something.
It could also be possible that you are pregnant and if you want to try to find a free testing center go to http://www.optionline.org
Birth control pills can have side effects but as you said, you have been 3 years with the new brand. I would be interested to find out what was wrong. If you find out, please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
Thanks.
