Birth Control/changing to a lower dose pill

Question
I recently changed from ortho tri cyclin to a lower dosed pill called Cesia. I would normally ask the college doctor any questions but they are out for the summer. I am on my first week and a half of the new pills. Beginning 3 days ago I experienced some spotting but it abmornally dark. Is it normal to have this spotting?

Answer
Hi Heather,

Spotting is normal, and the color is not unusual. If it lasts more than 6 days, you should follow up with a Dr. It may be a side effect of the pills, and they can switch them to a diffrent brand that may not cause the same trouble.

Thanks,

Drea Jean.
