Question
I hope this is the right place to ask this. The first day of my last menstraul period was april 12th 2006 and the doctor gave me a due date of jan 19th 2007. When i had my first ultrasound he put me being due at Jan 26th 2007. Does that mean that i conceined exactly a week later? How accurate are ultrasounds? I heard they can be up to 5-7 days of. Oh and i got pregnant my first menstraul cycle after stopping BC can this affect a ultrasound?

Answer
Unless you were charting your cycles on a regular basis, there isn't any really good way to know when you got pregnant.  The cycle after getting off the pill could have been longer than regular or shorter.  If the ultrasound is the one to go by, then it was probably a longer cycle perhaps due to getting off the pill.

A due date, even under the best case scenarios, is a guestimate.  You could go way earlier or way later.  So don't get too attached to the date.  Lots of things can affect the onset of labor and the end of the pregnancy.  I wish you a wonderful experience and a delightful baby!
