I've just started taking the contraceptive pill Cilest. I am curious to know how long this pill takes to start working as a contraceptive?.
Hi Keri,
You should use a back up method at least the first week of your first pack. For more assurance, you should use a back up method the first month of the first pack. After that, it is effective and reliable all month long, as long as you don't miss any.
