Question
On april 18th I got the depo shot. I have had it once before almost two years ago, when I was on it the first time, I never had any bleeding. This time while I've been on the shot, I've been having dry blood come out. Is this normal? how long is it suppose to last?

Answer
The depo shot causes serious changes in your body.  No periods or excessive bleeding are both different things that can be caused by the shot.  neither are normal because your normal body is being altered by the shot.  They are common side effects.  I don't know how long it will take to go away.

Your period is a natural normal function of your body. Protect your fertility. Birth control pills are bad medicine for something that is delicate and easily destroyed. Now is a good time to quit using the pill.
