Birth Control/early period

Question
i have been taking Yasmin for about 10 months now with the exeption of last
month.  i was too late in getting a new pack so i decided to skip a month.  i
have started the pill again but i think i started it the wrong way.  i started the
sunday AFTER my period had ended.  my period for this month started a week
in a half early but it stopped today which would only make it 3 days long (my
period is usually about 6 days long).  is this just spotting or is my period just
shorter from the pill?? Also, me and my boyfriend had sex without a condom
a week in a half after i started the pill again...is there a chance i could be
pregnant?

Hi Merry,
Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical professional so please check with your doctor or whoever prescribed the pills to you. Yes, if you didn't take the pills correctly, this could cause spotting or an irregular period. There is also a chance of pregnancy. Birth control pills or any kind of method besides abstinence can result in pregnancy. You can get a free pregnancy test by finding a local pregnancy center in your area. Go to http://www.optionline.org
Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com to let me know what happens. Talk soon. By the way, I don't personally recommend the pill. The only methods I think that are not unhealthy are Natural Family Planning or condoms.
