Question
I havent had a period in about 6 months since coming off the pill.I was on the pill since I was 17 which is now 8 years and am going to start to try for a family with my long term partner.I havent however, had a period since coming off the pill and I am scared. My doctor says this is normal but it doesnt feel it and I am scared that I will never be able to have children....can you help!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
It can take some women a long time to recover their normal cycle after being on the pill. How long does your doctor say she/he will let you go without a period before some kind of intervention? Did you ask that question? You also may want to learn more about fertility and ovulation. Check on the web for your local natural family planning provider.
