Hello

I am 20 years of age and have had implanon inserted 6weeks after my daughter was born, so this would be six months ago. I havent had regular periods, which i was expecting, but lateley im so paranoid i am pregnant. I feel like i am putting on weight, im tired all the time and and never in the mood for sex, ive been feeling sick as in a headache alot, but not morning sickness sick, im thinking of having it removed, but if i do im not sure wht to use for birth control, as i am hopless remembering to take the pill, as thats the reason i fell pregnant with my daughter.
Could i be pregnant?

Answer
Generally the implants are very effective in preventing pregnancy. It is also possible that some of your symptoms are due to the impanon.

You will have to work out with yourself, your doctor and your husband as to what to use for birth control.
