Birth Control/no libido

Question
I noticed in one of the previous answered questions that you said that taking the pill can damage libido permanently.  I took the pill for 4 months and went off of it because my sex drive went away.  Will it stay away, even if I was on it for 4 months?  I've been off it for 2.5 weeks and it hasn't improved much at all, and I'm a little worried.  Thanks.

Answer
I don't recall saying that the pill can permanently remove libido. Sex drive is complicated. It is not something that is easy to describe, diagnose, or change. I suggest the first thing you should do is go to your healthcare provider and discuss this problem. If it persists, you should ask for a referral to a counselor with experience in this area.
