Birth Control/marina iud

Question
Hello. I got my iud at my 6 week postnatal check-up, it was July 31. it is now September 24th, and i am still bleeding. One day it is heavy then the next is just a slow stream with a few stringy pieces. I am having lower back pains, i have a fowl odor, my abdomen feels has though it is burning at times, and i am very moody. I went to the ER on August 31st. because of a fever of 102.3 and my joints ached. Only to be told that nothing was wrong and that my IUD was fine, and all cultures came back normal. I took a pregnancy test last Friday that came out negative. I want to get my IUD taken out, but don't know if I'm just over reacting and this is normal. Any feed back would be appreciated. Thank-you for your time.

Answer
Hi Katrina,

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so of course, I would advise you to get medical attention. I would say that you need to get a 2nd opinion if they told you that those symptoms mean nothing is wrong. This sounds very dangerous to me.  Do you have a regular doctor to go to and could you get the IUD taken out? Please get medical attention and let me know what happens. You can email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
