What would happen if you skip the pills that ur supposed to be on for your period, if u just skipped that week and went to the following weeks pills? what would happen? i had sex on the day i started the "sugar pills" and the condom broke. so i took 2 pills from my next weeks packet becasue i didnt want to get pregnanet. I took one on one day, skipped the next and then took one again the day later...Im afraid!

Hi Alyssa,

First of all dont worry. If you took the pills in your pack correctly, and the condom broke on the first day of sugar pills, your still protected. Its safe to have unprotected sex during your sugar pill week, because the 3 weeks of pills before that week still work. So dont worry about that.

NOW, what you need to do is STOP taking the pills, and let your period come. Just pretend you didnt take those two pills, and start your next pack JUST as scheduled. Taking those two pills MAY make your period late, as you could have confused your body, so dont stress if that happens. Plus, to be EXTRA careful, use a back-up method (condoms), for the first week of your next pack, just in case your body is a little confused. That way you'll be protected.
