Birth Control/missed period

Question
I was on birth control for a week last month and didn't like the way my body reacted so I went off of it and had my period and then two weeks later I had my period again. It's been over a month now and I still haven't had my next period...is this normal?

Answer
You were on the pill for a very short time but it probably threw your body a curve ball. After the pill - Some women return to normal cycling with no problem, others take sometime to resume normal cycling. You can't predict what will happen because all women are different. Even though you only took it for a week, you probably need time to resume cycling.
