Question
Hi Cheryl!

I have been on Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo for about 3 years.  This week I missed taking it three days in a row (oops, I know shame on me!) I did take one this morning, and this afternoon my period started!  I was not supposed to start my period for 2 more weeks!  My question is, do I continue on my pills as if I was not mensturating?  Or should I not take any more until my period stops?  Thank you so much for your help!

Sincerely,
Helen

Answer
Hi Helen.
I'm not a medical doctor so please check with your physician or whoever prescribed the pills for you. I did read an article that said if you miss 3 pills you need to throw that pack away and start over. But I would check with your doctor. I'm not sure if you're supposed to take the pills even when you're having your period. I think your cycle is way off. So please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and let me know what happens.
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
