Birth Control/missed pills

Question
I've been on the pill for just under a year, if I missed the first week and a half of my pill pack this month should I just start taking them now or should I wait until next month to start again?  Is there any chance that I could have gotten pregnant in the last week and a half?

Answer
Yes, there certainly is a chance you could get pregnant in the first week and a half of your cycle.  Do not start taking the next pack now.  You will have to wait until your period starts and then use the next pack of pills appropriately.  Every day, at the same time.  That is the only way to be sure you are covered consistently and even then you can't be 100% sure.

Your period is a natural normal function of your body. Protect your fertility. Birth control pills are bad medicine for something that is delicate and easily destroyed. Now is a good time to quit using the pill.
