Question
Hey, I started on BC in November of 2005 and my boyfriend left to go to bootcamp in March, so I stopped taking the pills...which was stupid of me...but anyway I want to start back up again but I'm not sure how to. Do I just take them when my period comes back at the end of this month? and if so do I take it the first day that my period starts or after it ends?

Answer
Hi Rhonda,

Start them back up just like you were taking them for the first time again.

Day 1 start: Take your first pill on the first day of your period. You will not need a back up method if you start on this day.

Sunday Start: Take your first pill on the Sunday following the day your period starts. You will need to use a back up method the first week of your pills.

If your period starts on a Sunday, take it THAT day. It is considered a Day 1 start, and you will follow the directions for that method.

Thanks,

Drea Jean
