Question
HI,

my situation is i took my ring out after the first week of having it in and deciding to start trying to get pregnant and had a harsh period, That was back in the very begining of October. the second week of November i had another harsh period to let me know that i wasn't pregnant yet now it is almost the end of December and a lot of things have happened and we have changed our mind about being ready for another kid i am still testing neg on pregnancy tests. I will have to go to a clinic to see if i can even get birth control because one of things that has happened is my hubby lost his job and he carried our health insurance. how long is a safe time to go back on birth control?? If i can even get a hold of any! I thought about trying the health dept. to see if they could get me some considering i don't have any insurance now. i would appreciate any other ideas for help too.

Answer
Hi Angie,
How are you doing? I'm not a medical doctor so of course I suggest that you consult your physician but it doesn't sound like you have one. One method I could recommend that isn't expensive is Natural Family Planning. You could do an internet search or go back to allexperts.com and check under birth control. There is another expert there, Ramona, and she specializes in Natural Family Planning method. That and condoms are the only methods that I think are natural and healthy. I don't think the Nuva Ring and pills are safe for a woman's body. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and let me know what you think and what you decide. Oh, and do you think that there is still a hormonal level in your body from the ring and that's why you don't want to get pregnant right now?
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
