Question
I went off the pill over a week ago and since then my period has not been normal. For that whole week I did not bleed until four days later and only a little bit but I am still bleeding everyday but only a little bit. So I took a pregnancy test to see if I was and I wasn't is this normal?

Answer
Hi Mollie,

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so I advise you to see your personal physician about this and any other health questions. Yes, I have done research on this and it is somewhat common to have irregularities after going off the pill. This would be due to the hormones involved. If you want to get a 2nd opinion about the pregnancy test, you can find a free center at http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP
Try to relax and find out what is the problem. Please let me know and email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com

Thanks.
