will being sick affect how the pill is working? i have the flu right now.. i am still taking my pills on time but i have been taking aleve to get rid of the fever will the pill still work even though i'm sick and does aleve affect it? I know you can't take certain meds when you are on the pill .. can i still take aleve and be protected?

Answer
I think that you will be okay with Aleve, but I suggest that you talk to your doctor to make sure! With the flu, as long as you aren't throwing up or having diarrhea then you are okay. If you are getting that sick, then I suggest that you stop taking the pill and start a whole new pack the Sunday after you are well. Make sure to use condoms for those first two weeks just to be on the safe side!
