Question
It has been 13 months and still no period. I have had numerous tests blood,ultrasound and all is normal. My DR tried to have me take provera (also suggested clomid) but it gave me side effects. The reason I went of the pill was I was having numbness in my arm, eye twitching, and head aches, was on the pill for 9yrs. (also checked out cat scan,ultrasound of heart blood ect and everything normal.) when I was on provera I started having the same side effects so after 2 days went of it. Talked to DR about it and she sent me for more blood work and said to come back (didn't seem to know what to do with me.)
I have tried acupuncture, and a natural path..tried almost every herb out there....and lots of relaxing as I know I was stressed about it, so have been doing meditation and spending time at the spa....
since the acupuncture I have been having "tingling" or a warm sensation where my uterus an F tubes are...but still nothing have been thinking there is something wrong...told my husband all I want forchristmas is my period.As we really want to have a family, and I don't want to have to take drugs to do it.
have also tried changing my diet, loosing a bit of weight (I am not overweight but thought I would try weigh 155lbs) and cutting out carbs and sugar.....
not sure what else to do......HELP!

Dear Tara,
I'm really glad you went off the pill. I don't believe it is healthy. Remember, I'm not a medical doctor. Did your personal doctor give you the results of the blood work yet? It sounds like you are doing a lot of healthy things in your life and I applaud you for it. Maybe your doctor can send you to a specialist. It is rather uncommon to not have a period for over 13 months. I will check with a friend of mine and see if she can recommend anything. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
