Question
hi there, me and my partner are planning to try for a baby in around 12 months time, i have been taking the contraceptive pill for 4 years (microgynon) now and have heard from alot of people that it took them a long time to fall pregnant after taking it for this length of time, is there a certain length of time that it takes for the pill to be out of your system? thanks very much

Answer
Hi Sam,
Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so I advise you to have her see her physician about this or any medical question. Statistics are varied about the time it takes to get pregnant after being on the pill. I got pregnant after going off the pill many years ago. I was pregnant in a couple of months but for a lot of couples, it may take up to one year. There is no set answer on this. Please let me know what happens.
You may email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
