Question
I have read about people who postpone their period by taking the next pack of pills without taking the placebo pills, but what if you take the placebo pills and then wait another week after your period before you take the first active pills? Would that work and be safe too?

Answer
Hi Leonna. The reason people skip the placebo pills and start a new pack right away, is to skip their monthly periods. Taking the placebos and then skipping a week before your active pill wont help miss a period, and will very much increase your risk of pregnancy.

BCPs should be taken JUST as prescribed. Altering the way you take them without the advice of a doctor may cause them to fail.

Thanks, and Good Luck.
