Birth Control/Could I be pregnant?

QuestionAbout two months ago I went off the pill. Last month I got my period, this month I am six days late. (So I'm thinking the missed pd. is not because of recently going off the pill. Not to mention I recognized signs of peak ovulation on the 22nd of January.) I have taken three HPT's and all were negative. I've been fatigued and urinating frequently, but no breast tenderness. Today is the first I've felt nausea. I understand that stress can be a factor in a late period, we recently found out my mother has a brain tumor and I know the stress may also account for the fatigue, although it never seemed to affect my periods in the past. Do you suggest a blood test from my GP or should I wait and take another HPT?
AnswerI would suggest that the pregnancy tests are accurate and that you are still readjusting coming off the pill. Stress might have something to do with it, too, but I don't know that either.
If your period doesn't start in another week, another HPT would be in order. They are very accurate. In the meantime, take care of yourself. You might just be getting sick. Your mother needs you healthy.
