Question
I have been on birth control (Lo Ovral) for over a year nowand happily married and I have ALWAYS and I mean always even before this method had regular periods, heavy and very noticeable, but this month for some reason I was four days late on my period and now it is extremely light and i mean too light. I also have been experiencing nausea and peeing a lot and cravings for foods, the only protection we use is this birth control, always has been although I did take an antibiotic this month for a ear infection I had.  Also this one time i went back to bed afterwards and took my BC a little later i really want to be pregnant but don't want to look silly going to buy a test so I thought i would get a second opinion first. Thanks

Answer
Some antibiotics can interfere with pill action. Fertility, the ability to become pregnant, depends upon both the man and the woman. If you were doing everything really regular and missed one day and have strong fertility with your husband, pregnancy is possible.

Take a home pregnancy test exactly according to instructions if you miss your period by a week.
