Question
What is the likeliness of getting pregnant while on birth control? I am dating this guy and he does not pull out while we are having sex. I have been on birth control off and on for  four years. I just got back on a month and a half ago. Do you think it is safe to say that it won't be likely for me to get pregnant?

Answer
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for your question. I just want you to know that I'm not a medical professional so I always suggest that you see your personal physician. Are you on the pill? You really didn't say what kind of birth control method you are using.
I don't know the exact statistics but it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill or any kind of birth control method. No method is 100% safe except abstinence. I only recommend non-hormonal methods such as condoms or Natural Family Planning but they are not 100% safe from pregnancy either.
