Birth Control/quitting pill

Question
I recently quit taking the pill (Trinessa).  I was supposed to start a new pack on February 12th.  I never did, but am now long overdue for my period (almost three weeks late; I have not been sexually active since I quit taking the pill).  Before I quit taking the pill, I had my period twice since the last time I was with anyone (which was the first week of December).  Is it possible for me to be pregnant or is a late period normal for people after stopping taking the pill (I was on it for about 3 years).

Answer
Sex makes babies, so if you haven't had sex you can't be pregnant.  Stopping the pill can cause cycle irregulaties to become obvious - you don't know what your normal body has been doing for 3 years, so things could have changed.  If you are concerned,  you should get a pregnancy test and find out.

Your period is a natural normal function of your body. Protect your fertility. Birth control pills are bad medicine for something that is delicate and easily destroyed. Now is a good time to quit using the pill.
