I started my birthcontrol pills on sun. like I am suppose to and I took them all week at the right time.  then I forgot to take them for 4 days. I am now haveing spotting is this normal? dow do I catch upon my pills? do I take 2 at a time? or skip all of them and go to todays pill?
Thanks

Answer
If you are going to be on the birth control pill you have to be very careful to take them every day at the same time.  If you don't, you will have problems. Including a higher risk of getting pregnant.

First of all, if you do not want to get pregnant you must start using a back-up method of protection right away.  Then you must start taking the pills one per day, every day until the pack is finished.  Then wait to start the next pack the way the doctor told you to take it.  You can skip the pills you missed, in fact, you should throw them away and start taking today's pill today.

In the future, remember that forgetting is how girls become mothers.

Natural Family Planning is a risk-free, safe, and economical alternative to chemical and barrier contraceptives. NFP is easy to understand, aids in fertility awareness for spacing children as well as increasing communication and assisting couples to concieve. I do not answer questions about other forms of birth control.

Experience

I have personal experience with all birth control methods, I practiced NFP throughout my child-bearing years and I am a paralegal with great research skills. I am totally convinced this is a viable alternative and I can back-up my statements with research.
