Question
I'm on the ring and I read that it's supposed to stop ovulation but I think I'm still ovulating. I had my period May 28th and about 3 days ago I started getting signs of ovulation like egg-white discharge and felt really hot like my body temperture went up is this okay? If it's supposed to stop ovulation why am I showing signs? I'm worried cuz  ive been havin unprotected sex

Answer
Hi Stephanie..Please check with your doctor as I am not a medical professional. However, I just read an article that says that the Nuva ring releases synthetic female hormones, estrogen and progestin. These hormones are absorbed through the vagina into your blood system which changes the body's normal hormonal balance so that no egg is released from the ovaries.
So I'm not sure why this is happening but I can do some more research if you like. Just email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
Hope to hear from you soon.
