Question
I had my tubes tied a month ago, but my husband is due back from Iraq for 2 weeks of R&R right when I am scheduled to have my period, could I use my birth control pills to stop my period while he is here? I was on zovia 28, and still have 4 full packs left, this would be the only time I would ever need or want to do something like this!!!???

Answer

Hi Kiki,
I'm not a medical doctor so I would suggest that you check with your physician or pill provider. I don't personally recommend that you would do this. I don't think it is healthy and could make your cycle very irregular. I don't recommend the pill or any hormonal birth control method. Why are you going to be on birth control if you had your tubes tied? As a back up method? Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and we can talk more.
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
