Birth Control/took pill 6 hours late

Question
Hi there,

I take my pill between 10:00 and 10:3o every morning.  My husband and I had sex when I realized I forgot to take my pill.  I took it right then at 4:00 p.m., so about 6 hours late.  I took it on time today.  Is there a high chance I could get pregnant?

Answer
Pregnancy is always possible, even with correct pill use. In my opinion, what you describe, did not raise the possibility of pregnancy to any degree that would concern you.  If you miss an entire day, or two days, and don't do the prescribed back up, you may have a problem.
