Question
I have recently been put in microgynon, originally for period pains but recently slept with my boyfriend. i have just started my second pack but by mistake forgot and started it today (tuesday) but took sundays pill... does this make any difference? Thank you

Answer
It doesn't matter that you took Sunday's pill on Tuesday.  What might matter is that you took Sunday's pill on Tuesday which is 2 days after you were supposed to start taking them.  Whenever you mess up and don't take the pill EXACTLY as it's prescribed you certainly need to use a back up plan in order to be the most careful you can be.

I don't know what you mean by "recently slept with my boyfriend."  Was that before or after you messed up with your new pack?  If you are not going to be careful about taking the pill, you have to be more careful about who you sleep with and when and what you do about it during.

Your period is a natural normal function of your body. Protect your fertility. Birth control pills are bad medicine for something that is delicate and easily destroyed. Now is a good time to quit using the pill.
