Birth Control/yasmin..
Expert: Diane Cheryl - 7/14/2007
QuestionHey,
I have been on Yasmin for a year now and I was fine with it in the beginning, but for the past few months I have been extremely emotional-like crazy emotional, not necessairly depressed, I just cry for everything. I know it has to be the pill because I'm NOT like this at all. I go to the doctor at the end of the month and I'm going to switch the pill but I was wondering how long will it take for Yasmin to get out of my system and for me stop being so emotional from that pill? i know it takes awhile for your body to get used to the new pill, but i don't know how long for it to get out of your system. Have you heard of this from other people regarding Yasmin?? Why would it do that when it's suppose to be one of the lowest doses of birth control pills.
Thanks
Stephanie
AnswerHi Stephanie,
Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so please check with your physician. Yes, I have heard of the symptoms from yasmin and other birth control pills. I don't recommend any kind of pill or hormonal birth controls. I don't like the side effects and risks that come from these hormones going into our bodies. Like I said, this is just my opinion, but I would try to not go on any kind of hormonal birth control. Is it really necessary for you to be on birth control? You can email me if you want to talk more. I'm also going to put an article I found about birth control pills. I'm going to add it on the bottom of this email. Let me know what you think.
