Question
I am wondering if, while taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen (not tri-cyclen Lo) it is safe to skip the sugar pill week and immediately start the next pack in order to skip your period. I have read that because Ortho Tri-Cyclen has 3 separate dosages (3 different colours of pills) throughout the month, that it is not recommended. I am wondering if this is true. Also, will it make it less effective at stopping pregnancy?

Answer
From what I have learned in my research, that is true that it's not good to skip a period with this method. In my opinion, our bodies were made a certain way with a certain monthly cycle. To disrupt this cycle is not healthy for our body. Women are made with periods for a reason.

I really don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control methods. I believe that the hormones are not healthy and recommend condoms and natural family planning.
