Birth Control Pills/Starting the pill at the wrong time

Question
Hi. I've been on the pill now for over a year. But I started taking the first pill at the wrong time. My period was due to come in the next week but I started taking the pill anyway. I wasn't really thinking when I did this. So I actually delayed my period by like 3 weeks. For a while after that I kept getting cramps when my original period shouldve come but there was never any blood until I started taking the white pill or the sugar pills. I was just wondering if when I decide to come off the pill wether my period will stay on the same days as when I was taking the pill or wether it will change back to the days when my period originally was and if there will be exessive bleeding or extra bleeding between periods like an extra period week. Thankyou for your time.

Answer
Chrissie,

You would have to ask your doctor about this because I'm not a medical professional.

So you are thinking about discontinuing the birth control pill? I usually don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control methods because of side effects and risks to health. It does sounds like your cycle is mixed up right now. I'm not sure how it will work when and if you do discontinue the birth control pills. Can you email me at CHERYL51@aol.com and we can talk more?
