Question
Hi, I have a few questions. I am not sure if you can answer them, but I wasnt sure where else to turn. I am in desperate need of birth control pills because I am in an abusive situation and I do not want to get pregnant. I want to be on birth control just in case. So anyway, I'm sure you've heard of Planned Parenthood, and there's also a place called Northland Family Planning Center that is close by to me and they also have birth control services. My situation is this: Both places have this form to fill out for Plan First, if you qualify you get free services including free birth control. I applied but I am alittle worried about qualifying because I already have insurance - Blue Care Network. However, it's a family plan, it's under my uncle's name he works for Ford and it does cover alot of medical, but I don't want to use it for birth control because I am afraid my uncle or family will find out. So my question is, do you think I could still qualify for Plan First even though I have insurance? And if not, is there any way I can use my insurance at Planned Parenthood for birth control but keep it confidential so that my family doesnt find out??? Sorry, I know this is alot. Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi Emily,

I really wouldn't be able to tell you about the insurance. I'm not a part of those agencies and so don't know the rules.

But more importantly, you need help on this abusive situation that you are talking about. Can you tell me more so I can help you and/or advise you? You can email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so it would be private. So I consider your situation more about the abusive situation than the question of birth control.

Please email me as soon as possible!
